EXAM INFORMATION

REGISTER for the Exam ONLINE!!!

  • The entire exam (Written & Practicals) is taken at the same time. We urge you to take the exam as soon as you feel ready. The sooner you take the exam after taking the course the fresher the material will be in your mind! We recommend that you take the exam within one year of taking the course as the course materials and test could change over time.

  • To take the exam only (did not take2-day course) the fee is $250. We highly recommend that you take the two-day class as this better prepares you to take the exam.
  • We also recommend our Review course given each month at different locations. There is a fee for this course.

  • Results are sent via mail and take about 4-6 weeks to process. Please do not call the office for results.

  • Exams are offered once a month-usually the 4th Saturday of the month. Class size is limited. Registration can fill up in as quickly as 4 hrs. after registration opens..

  • Exam registration usually opens on the Tuesday , 3 weeks prior to the test date.
  • A valid CPR certification is required in order for any NSPA certification to be valid. We are no longer requiring proof of current CPR status but at any time during your certification period with NSPA you must have a valid CPR certification in order for your NSPA certification to be valid.
  • Cancellation Policy: Please make every effort to call to cancel as soon as you know you cannot attend the exam...we often have people on a waiting list who would like to take the opening.

 

  • The CPT Exam has a Written portion and 5 Practicals which consists of blood pressure, skin calipers, machines, free weights and stretching.

  • The CCS Exam has a Written portion and 6 Practicals which consists of blood pressure, skin calipers, PNF stretching, manuals, free weights, and machines. * if you are a current certified NSPA Personal Trainer - you do not have to take the blood pressure and skin caliper practical portion of the CCS Exam

  • The Weight Management Exam (WM) is a written exam.

 

  • The CPRS Exam has a Written portion and 8 Practicals which consists of back, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle/foot and posture evaluation.

  • A score of 75% is required to pass the written exam. 
     Practicals are scored as a pass/fail.
